Univision Radio raised more than $4.8 million for kids with cancer during radiothon

Thanks to the efforts of Univision Radio and thousands of listeners around the country, more than $4.8 million in cash and pledges were raised during the annual "Promesa y Esperanza" (Promise and Hope) radiothon benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®. Loyal listeners of Univision Radio, the leading Spanish-language radio group, joined the fight against childhood cancer by pledging a monetary donation during the radiothon, which took place on March 4-5 in 17 cities including Miami, Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago and Puerto Rico.

2010 Legends for Charity® dinner honored sports broadcaster Cris Collinsworth

The Legends for Charity® dinner honored NBC Sports game analyst and Showtime Sports broadcaster Cris Collinsworth and raised nearly $165,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital® on February 4. Collinsworth was presented the Pat Summerall Award which is given each year in honor of the recipient's remarkable character, integrity and leadership both on and off the job. Miami legend Tony Segreto was also recognized for his body of work as a sports and news broadcaster and charitable works in South Florida.

Beto Cuevas and Christian Chávez visit patients at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

Latin singer Beto Cuevas and singer Christian Chavez visited patients battling cancer at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for the first time last January with the goal of learning more about the mission of the organization. During their visit, the celebrities got to see first-hand how St. Jude helps to save the lives of children suffering from catastrophic diseases like leukemia.
