More than 200 guests enjoyed a beautiful evening benefiting children with cancer at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, during the 2nd annual "It's All About the Kids" cocktail party on October 17, at the EPIC hotel in Miami. Vanessa Hauc, co-anchor of Telemundo’s national show "Al Rojo Vivo con Maria Celeste" and former Dancing with the Stars contestant, Cristian de la Fuente hosted the upscale social event, which was organized by the Miami chapter of Friends of St. Jude (FOSJ).

Vanessa and Cristian welcomed celebrities and artists, including Latin actor Jorge Luis Pila; Giselle Blondet; little reggaetonero Miguelito; Melissa Marty, winner of the “Nuestra Belleza 2008” contest; Maggie Jimenez, host of the Univision show Que Sabor; Azucena Cierco of Telemundo and many more. Guests enjoyed an exclusive sneak peak at the latest fur coats from designer Oscar de la Renta, and the Latin group ORIGEN and The Bergman Paz Band kept guests dancing all night. During one of the most memorable moments of the night, St. Jude patient Stephan Gutierrez, a 14 year-old diagnosed with a rare stomach cancer, got on stage to play his favorite rock song on the drums with The Bergman Paz Band. There was also a silent auction that included a stay at the Real InterContinental Hotel & Club Tower Costa Rica and a private shopping experience for six at Luca Luca, Bal Harbour.

"We are so proud to see Miami's young professionals come out and raise more than $83,000 for children battling cancer at St. Jude," said Jeb Bush Jr., FOSJ Executive Director. "Although we are going through difficult times, cancer doesn’t stop, so it is vital to continue supporting a great cause like St. Jude."

International Dermatology was the event's presenting sponsor. Other generous sponsors included Pollo Campero, the Gutierrez family, Mercedes Benz of Miami, Penn Mutual, LAAD, Inkberries, Saks Fifth Avenue - Bal Harbour and the Fur Salon of Bal Harbour, Avisena, ATT, Roberto Cavalli Vodka, Frida Kahlo Tequila, Miller Coors, Univision Radio and Venue Magazine.

"It is an honor for International Dermatology to support the mission of St. Jude," said Silvia Trinidad, President of International Dermatology. "The event was a great success thanks to the work of these motivated young professionals."

Friends of St. Jude (FOSJ) is a group of young professionals networking for a cause and dedicated to the mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the fight against childhood cancer. FOSJ Miami has one of the largest memberships and ranks among the top fundraisers of Friends of St. Jude groups nationwide. St. Jude is one of the world’s premier centers for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases.
