Alejandro's family was on Christmas vacation when he began to suffer from nausea. His mother, Inés, had a feeling it was something serious so she took him to the nearest hospital in Florida.

Although his doctors determined that he was suffering from sinusitis, they initiated further tests. The results were devastating ... at just 3 years old, Alejandro had an aggressive brain tumor called medulloblastoma and needed emergency surgery.

"I was at work when I received an urgent call from my husband," explained Inés. "The pediatrician needed to see us immediately. It was a very painful for us." At that point the doctor recommended they take Alejandro to a different hospital for the surgery.

After going through the delicate surgery, Alejandro was referred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital where he received chemotherapy and radiation. "The last thing you want to worry about is medical bills during such difficult times. St. Jude relieves families of this worry so they can concentrate on the recuperation of their children," said Inés.

Currently, Alejandro is undergoing treatment at St. Jude and fighting for his life. Your support makes it possible for mothers like Ines to have the peace they need to face this terrible disease.
